Never underestimate the power of a friend. This evening I had the privelege to reunite with a friend I hadn't seen in 22 years.
It was at a concert in which he was playing. He's toured with Robert Cray, Big Bad VooDoo Daddy and the like - an accomplished pro.
Without going into too much detail, I have only hindsighted words to impart; If you have good people in your life that are rifting - close the rift.
If you grow apart, you'll have some fuck-all stories to tell each other over a beer (if/when) you reunite, but it would have been better to share them all the while.
